Celebrating Mother's Day and Father's Day in America

In the United States, Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May. Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June.

These are occasions set aside to honor our parents. On both Mother's Day and Father's Day, the whole family may plan a small celebration. Children, young and old, may make or buy greeting cards for the occasion. Gifts are sometimes bestowed. Especially for Mother's Day, the whole family may go to a restaurant for a special meal.
